Skully, I can see where your heart lies. And I dig it! Albums that were less commercially successful and/or more "raw" and not so over-produced! Soundgarden - Instead of saying 'Superunknown' is their best album, you would go 'badmotorfinger' or 'Ultramega OK'? (Personally, I would go 'Louder than Love'). Pearl Jam - Instead of saying their best album is 'Ten' or 'Vs', you would say 'Vitalogy'? (I agree) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Instead of 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik', you would go 'Mother's Milk'? Faith No More - Instead of 'The Real Thing', 'Angel Dust' or 'Album or the Year', you would choose 'King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime'? Metallica - Instead of 'Master of Puppets', or 'Metallica (Black)', you would pick 'Kill 'em All', 'Ride the Lightning', or '...And Justice for All'? Am I onto something here? To all you music lovers out there, and Skully , here is another pick from an era that spawned almost as many great albums as the good old days (can you remember a truely remarkable album to come out in the last 10 years, save a handful? Come on, be honest!) From 1994, another artist who went before his time, Jeff Buckley and his masterpiece by the name of 'Grace'. A truely remarkable album from start to finish. A must for anyone who loves 'real music', if you don't own it or have not heard it (shame on you), go buy, steal, borrow, download it now! R.I.P. Jeff Buckley

Dark side of the moon anyone? THE best album ever made. Everything fits in together. Transitions are perfect and the songs are great individually. Pink Floyd's greatest work and imo definitely the best album in the world.
Speak to me/Breathe + on the run.
Time.
Great gig in the sky(my favourite song by PF).
Money.
Us and them.
Any colour you like.
Brain Damage&Eclipse.
That last song is from the dvd live at pompei. Great stuff!
Cheers. Manwë

I agree, I usually find I prefer the 1st or 2nd albums the best, when they are less known, and as you said, 'more raw and not over-produced'. Bands are usually playing music they 'believe' in or want to play, with no presure from record companies. Then there are great band that produce great albums throughout their careers or have short careers Skully reminded me of this album in 'Skull's Place' ;D Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables California uber alles I remember as a kid copying the the art work onto my school books instead of working lol I'd love to have see them live
