In the movie he says the virus is spread by both physical contact like being biten and it's spread in the air. Like vapour. Now in all the years of zombie and vampires films and books. Not one has said that the virus can be caught from air. Checkmate! ;D

they looked computer animated to me, which made them less scary than if they were just decrepit looking dead people.
I think the movie need to look into vampires, and the new society they were forming and how the only human left is now the freak, much like the book does.

Robert Neville(Will Smith) is a scientist who was unable to stop the spread of the terrible virus that was incurable and man-made. Immune, to the desease, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and perhaps the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time. Yeah, his dog cops it. It is pretty sad, since his dog was his only (real) friend for years

I don't understand why they didn't use the books ending. The guy goes around killing and experimenting on the vamps. The girl appears reveals that she is a vampire spy, but loves him now ( ). Vampires come and get him, put him on trial for murdering them, and execute him. The "I am Legend" is from him realizing that he is their vampire, who scares them to death, IE I'm a legend like vampires. The whole first part of the movie was totally sweet, it's too bad about the second half...
