hi all i had a bit of an accident on my bike today , came off a roundabout straight into a metal railing. only doing 50 mph too. the front end of my bike was ripped off and the back end is stoved inwards. luckily i managed to part with my bike as it hit the curb stone and somersaulted into a metal railing. i still slid into the curb taking full impact on my tailbone (coxis). the bone at the top of your bum and beginning of spine. anyone who has fell on there coxis will know how painfull it is then imagine hitting it at 50 mph. it stopped me dead in my tracks. at the moment i cant sit down or lay down ps notice my left handlebar ripped away from the yoke which is very thick metal but obviously very weak. the side casings are also broke, infact everything is broke.

Glad to hear your are alive. Very lucky. It's a split decision on who is luckier...... you or DMC. After you 2 and your accidents, I'm a little leary on on planning a vacation to the UK. Shame about the ride. But, it can be replaced. A life or limbs cannot.
Ice for 20 minutes followed by heat for 20 minutes then rest for 20 minutes every hour for 48 hours. Ibuprofen (Motrin) for pain-400-600mg every 4 hours (unless you have something stronger from the doctor).

sorry to here about your accident col , glad you are alive and nothing broke. Hope you are a guy that wears the proper gear leathers etc. I suppose at least you can learn from this i hope and will only make you better. In the news there was a story about a guy who got decapitated on his bike, his head was on the road and his torsoe was stuck to the side of a car and the passangers couldnt get out. hope you went to hospital and got all the proper x-rays and stuff, i know how hard you bikers are but you dont know what internal injuries may have occured. Must have a been a bit of a shock, , anyway take it easy, and get better soon col.

Phew Col that looks a mess. Hope you didn't damage your trigger finger. Have you tried sitting on a rubber ring, may help the pain? Get well soon.
