may i be the first with congrats mod dude ;D a easy one to start with, does anyone like me think that all the uk parties labour, conservative, etc are all the same promise the world and blow it straight back when elected ? my 2 shillings I don't live there, but I see it here in the US. I think all politicians are full of hot air. The people "democratically" elect the government. Then that very same government that they pay through taxes, tells them what to and what not to do with their lives with little or no regard as to how the people feel about it. Talk about irony. Government doesn't represent the people anymore! They do what they want, when they want and how they want. And then, if you don't like it then you can just.......... well you know what I'm saying. Much talk of change and gains, what they'll do when elected, but they pretty much don't care after being made president, it annoys the heck out of me.
It's like, "Hey I'll give you this box of candy full of stuff you really like for 10 dollars" you say sure, and give him the money, he doesn't give you the box then tells you to wait. After waiting a few weeks you get your box, but nothing in it, and you find out the bastage ate the candy.

lol, government hasn't change at all.
I was forced to go to a City Council meeting at City Hall today (its for one of my classes that I am taking) where they talk about absolutely nothing useful!!!!
Instead of worrying about the budget issue that is in our city, they complain mostly about an apartment building that needs fire exit doors on the SECOND FLOOR in order to comply with the city codes. (A FIRE!!!, ahh lets JUMP out the fire exit *SPLAT*)
I was like WTF?! (and fell asleep)

The government never has represented the people fully, but we have opportunities every day to make them listen to us. US citizens have many more rights in some areas than we were alloted in 1776, but that is because we have fought for them. If we don;t continue to fight for them, these rights will diminish. Politicians are scum, so the burden of running the government lies upon the citizens. we should be actively involved. we should stand up and shout "hey! What in the *&$% are you talking about! why do we need doors on the second floor!" they spend our money or stupid things and waist our money every day spending time talking about useless regulations that some rich fat insurance man pulled out of his ... Yeah and we routinely get our candy boxes back empty but for some reason we keep giving them the 10$. we think "oh this next guy he's skinny. he looks like he doesn't even like candy. here's my ten dollars." and surprise, surprise, no candy again. we should cut out the middle man and start buying our candy from the corner store.

Elected officials truly represent the people. People are extreme therefore so are politicians. Abortion, for example. People quickly spew their opinion and hold no quarter, and politicians bank on that. Kucinich is running for president. And I agree with him that people on both sides of the issue could unite if the object is to simply reduce abortion. But Christians don't want you having sex. And fems refuse to acknowledge a spiritual element to their reproductive ability. So politicians on both sides use it as a wedge to get into office then waffle on producing results.
Currently in the USA the Republicans accuse Democrats of being anti soldier, while Democrats accuse Republicans of being anti [grown] child. Neither statement is accurate. Yet they do this for the greater good of their party.
George W. Bush said years ago he believes in the 2 party system and that this type of dynamic between the parties is good for Democracy. I think this is why he is so stubborn because he wants to be the baseline for this method. We'll see I guess. I hope America can survive this extreme approach and divisiveness.

lol doc didnt expect it to be hilary, they sounded the quotes of a communist. Then again if you 've watched zeitgeist and anything else about the New World Order and Banks, what she's says is exactly what they want.
So though i do bash Bush its for his comedic value, he is quite funny the things he does. I now believe that practically all polititians are puppets for the men behind the power, Banks etc
