All,
As Hurricane Gustav bears down on the US, it appears that this Hurricane will soon be a Class 3 or perhaps even Class 4! It very well could be another "Katrina" like disaster.
In advance of this Emergency, my company may deploy to the disaster areas for security and life/medical assistance.
We are looking for EMT's, Paramedics, First Responders, Prior or current LE, or Military personnel to help.
You should have SOME medical training, training in firearms is a must.
It looks to hit early this week, timetables show we would be deploying Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from a staging area in Florida or Kentucky.
Deployment could be as short as two weeks and as long as 4-6 weeks.
You would be expected to reach the Rally Point by a predetermined time, you would pay for your initial travel but would recieve a travel voucher upon arrival.
Pay is USUALLY 300-400 USD per day, plus daily Per Diem, Travel, housing and food is provided.
If you are interested please email me your resume immediately to be considered, time is short.
jason.farina@cohortinternational.com
Thanks for allowing me to post this, there could be MASSIVE loss of life, let's pray there isn't.
Could someone sticky this for a few days?
Thanks!

After Katrina rolled through, the ignorant assholes who live in this disaster prone area shot at medical / rescue personell and their vehicles (ground and air). new orleans is below sea level, so yes....they are ignorant for being there and they are assholes for shooting at people there to help them. They actually delayed help after Katrina by shooting at rescuers. And we wonder why other countries think our citizens are savages just as much as we claim their citizens to be. If New Orleans would have gotten wiped out again and the gov't pledged to rebuild it, I would have to say I would refuse to pay my income tax anymore. Stupid to rebuild in the 1st place, if you ask me. doc

Hi Everyone,
I have been relocated to New Orleans for relief. This has been a very weird storm (is there a normal storm?)
Some areas are completely fine where they expected complete devastation, while other areas are 10 times worse than Katrina.
Our teams have had somewhat expected trouble in parts of Baton Rouge and NOLA. We expected more looting this time a bit more organized as the "perps" knew what to expect this time, however in the areas we are having trouble with are coming from gangs taking the lack of Law Enforcement in the area to allow for some (apparently) much needed gang wars.
East coast chapters of the "Crypts" and the "Bloods" were having quite the gun battle today, about 10 hours.
More of the same, people who couldn't/didn't want to leave are now floating face down in the streets and yet there are people in the News paper saying what a farce the government is for ordering evacuations.
Found a seagull today that was turned completely inside out... almost as bizarre as the scene around here.
Will update as I am able, thanks to everyone for the support.
Sua Sponte

Stay safe Jay! ;D
Remember the media maybe helpful at times, but they earn their money from advertistments (thus would put any headlines to get people to watch).
