The Joker's performance was mostly hype. Not Oscar winning by a long shot, but definately a completely different joker than what Nicholson did. And more true to the way he should be.
I am a huge fan of the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman series of films, but this one blows them away.
At 2 1/2 hours, it was long. But I never took my eyes off the screen.

But I never took my eyes off the screen. doc Thanks for the info doc I wasn't planning on putting extra effort into watching it since someone told me it was geared more toward a horror type film. I just never thought a hero/comic movie should be that way. Now my interest in it is restored. Ace

I watched the midnight premiere when it came out and it was pretty good. The beginning scene is pretty badass, especially when you find out the real plan the joker had in mind. The Joker does an insane magic trick that everyone should look out for. Ohhhh and look out for the hospital scene as well, there's a nurse with big chichis running around helping the bad guy.
